1. Overview
TELOGENIS.org is committed to accuracy and transparency. Scientific understanding evolves, and errors—whether factual, interpretive, or typographical—can occur despite rigorous internal review. This policy describes how we handle corrections to ensure readers always have access to the most accurate information.
Principle: All corrections are logged publicly with a date, description, and the corrected content. We do not silently edit published material without disclosure.
2. Types of Corrections
We classify corrections into three categories:
- Minor Corrections: Typographical errors, broken links, formatting issues, or minor clarifications that do not alter the scientific meaning of the content.
- Moderate Corrections: Factual errors in data, citations, or study descriptions that affect accuracy but do not change the overall conclusion of the article.
- Major Corrections: Errors that fundamentally misrepresent a study's findings, misattribute authorship, or present conclusions not supported by the cited evidence. Major corrections may include retraction notices if the error is severe enough to undermine the entire article.
3. How to Report an Error
If you believe you have identified an error in our content, please submit a correction request via email:
- Email: corrections@telogenis.org
- Required information:
- URL of the page containing the error
- Description of the error
- The correct information, with supporting sources (preferred: PubMed PMID or DOI)
- Your name and affiliation (optional, but helps us verify expertise)
4. Correction Process
- Receipt: We acknowledge all correction requests within 2 business days.
- Verification: Our editorial team verifies the claim against primary sources. For scientific claims, we consult the original publication. For complex issues, we may seek input from an external expert.
- Decision: We determine whether the report constitutes a minor, moderate, or major correction, or whether no correction is needed.
- Implementation: We update the content and append an entry to the public correction log below.
- Notification: We notify the reporter of the outcome within 10 business days of the original request.
